Crafts

I wanted to show my sweet mother in law the progress I have made on my quilt. When we were in Utah she bought me the material to make a quilt for baby girl who will be here in November (she better be here in November). I have the whole thing pieced together and quilted. . . All I have left to do is the binding. I'm really happy with how it turned out. The coral is a really soft nice minkee fabric, and the back is all minkee too.
And while I'm at it, my mom wanted me to post pictures of the shoulder bag I just made. My sister in law Rachael inspired me, and got me the pattern.
It even has an interior pocket. I'm pretty proud :)

Boating & Bye Bye's

We loved being able to go out on the boat with Kyle & Rachael while we were there. Here is Ry wakeboarding. I think I lost some of my pictures, because I only had one of him. But yes, he is hardcore.
And of course Kyle, who is really good at wakeboarding. Crew loved riding in the boat and watching. And he especially loved sitting in the driver's seat.

His favorite spot.
Sharing his favorite spot with Chase. And Rachael is monitoring :)

The Grandparents and their Grandbabies.
Yes, he is very happy.
Ry practiced skateboarding with Crew.
Buzz headed cousins watching a little TV. Each with their own remote. We like to start them young.
Giving kisses bye-bye.

We loved being all together again. We miss everyone already!

Mt. Ranier

My Grandma & Grandpa wanted to take us up to Mount Ranier for a day with my cousins Courtney and Taylor who were also visiting Seattle for the summer. I have been there before, but I was a lot younger. We loved it. It was absolutely gorgeous and we are so glad we went. Plus, we had awesome company!

The view on the way up:

Starting our hike. It was paved for the first little while. We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was warm, but not too warm to hike in. I realized quickly how out of shape I am.

The "hiking" group. We asked someone with a fancy camera to take a picture of all of us. Directly behind us there is a really cool waterfall. I didn't realize we were blocking it, but figured the photographer would have mentioned something!

Courtney & Taylor. Two good looking siblings, right there!
Tasting some snow. It was warm out, I swear. The snow is deceiving.

Crew couldn't get enough of the shoulder rides on our hike, which worked out nicely for all of us. And he couldn't get enough of Courtney's hair either. Can you believe how blond she is? And she doesn't dye it at all, its all natural!
On the way back down.

Grandma & Grandpa at the lodge.
Here is the whole group. Only got one picture of all of us, and I'm hunched because I'm shifting Crew in my arms. We had a great time, thanks for being our tour guides G&G!

Some friends we saw

I thought 2 weeks would in WA would give me plenty of time to see EVERYONE I wanted to, but it just didn't work out that way. We were a lot busier than I had expected. But we did manage to see a few friends that I have dearly missed. I didn't get a picture of when we got to visit Emily & Shawn - but we had a lovely day with them and their girls at the splash park.

Here we went for an evening stroll with Adam & Katie & Jonathon along the piers downtown and by the gum wall.

Deonna and Cole took us to a really great (was it Cuban place? I really can't remember) in fremont, and showed us their new nice place. It was great to see them again since they visited us in March!
And my Lauren Hunt. A lovely walk around greenlake! Crew was really into posing for the camera.

Oh Steph, thank you for coming to see us. You are the sweetest, I loved just talking with you and catching up. Could have done it for hours. Katie was jealous. . .

Jana & Jordan visit Seattle

We were so happy to have Jana & Jordan come for a few days. It was fun to do some of the traditional Seattle things with them. And the timing worked out perfect. They were here for most of the days that my parents were helping out with girl's camp for our church. Aside from what the pictures show, we went to Kyle & Rachael's house for a day on the lake, spent a day on the lake with our friends Bryce & Camille, saw Cheryl & Mike, and ate lots of good food.
Here we are at Pike's:

One of the several raspberry tastings we had while they were here. . .
Crew and Jord at the library
The rest of the pics are of Deception Pass. We all went up with Adam & Katie, our dear friends who have recently moved to Seattle. It was a perfect day, and the sights were beautiful.
